Trip plays with the idea of escape — not just travel, but the fantasy of leaving everything behind. A couple drive through an impossible landscape where the road leads somewhere between nostalgia and science fiction. The familiar language of a mid-century road trip is stretched into something surreal, cinematic and slightly unsettling.

The work leans into optimism and unease at the same time: romance, freedom, and the sense that the destination might not exist at all. Like much of my collage work, Trip borrows from popular imagery and reassembles it into a new narrative that sits somewhere between memory, dream and fiction.
