Gloves is a unique intaglio etching created by Gerard McDonagh. The print was made by hand in Camden, London, using a combination of aquatint and contemporary photo-etching techniques.

The image was etched onto zinc plates using acid, before each plate was individually inked, hand-wiped, and printed through a traditional etching press. Each colour layer was printed separately, giving the final work its depth and tone.

This edition of seven is printed on hand-cut, deckle-edged Somerset paper. Each print is signed, numbered, and titled by the artist.

The printed image measures approximately 28 × 35 cm. Paper size may vary slightly due to the hand-cut nature of the process.
