Etched in motion brings together a series of four handmade etchings that explore rhythm, gesture, and the shifting energy of mark-making. Each work is created using a contemporary intaglio plate, inked and hand-wiped before being printed through a traditional etching press.

Across the series, Arc, Sway, Peel and Twist each build their own sense of movement, drawing on contemporary UK jazz and the expressive visual language of early twentieth-century art. The prints share a strong focus on rhythm and flow, revealing how sound, motion and intuition can shape the surface of a plate.

Produced in small editions and finished by hand in the Bravespears studio, these etchings sit together as a study of movement — a collection built on energy, atmosphere and the physical act of drawing through print.
